Le Monde / Dibujando El Mundo (España)

A continuation of the Le Monde/Drawing The World (Paris), these drawings were done in Spain. The brutal stoning and burning of Farkunda in Kabul, Afghanistan (March 2015) was the impetus to draw from on-line images of the event. As I found Spanish newspapers to be loaded with images of politicians, I began working from my own photographs. Later drawings were completed during an artist residency in Cadiz, Spain—beautiful ancient city of dogs and balconies.
